Festive Thinking is a package of learning resources put together from an online workshop in two parts by Mark Pampling.

 The eBooks:

Festive Thinking - Star Up High is a step by step guide to creating a tall, self-supporting floral design on a simple wire structure., using the festive symbol of the star as the starting inspiration. The pages include detailed information about the techniques required, and advice on placing the flowers and materials within the composition.  Technical aspects of the construction are also documented via a comprehensive array of clear images. 

Festive Thinking - Shooting Star is a step by step guide to creating a versatile, freestanding floral design - a bound composition - inspired by the festive symbol of the star. The pages include detailed information about the techniques required, and advice on placing the flowers and materials within a base structure.  Technical aspects of the construction are also documented via a comprehensive array of clear images. 

The various floral craftsmanship techniques covered include

• binding and wrapping
• creating a textured star from with cardboard and raffia
• creating a transparent star from wire and raffia.

The fresh floral materials are arranged directly into water - no floral foam required.

Festive Thinking Video Tutorial demonstrates, step by step, how to make a total of four designs and includes guidance on the hands-on techniques that you'll need to make them yourself

Festive Thinking Design Discussion is a detailed discussion, led by Mark Pampling, where he analyses the 17 designs submitted by the 13 contributing designers, according to the Principles of Design.

The discussion offers many learnings and useable insights that you can apply to your own floral discipline.
