Equal in All Directions

An arrangement in which the design's proportional mass extends equally in all directions from the centre, creating a balanced, all-round composition.

“Equal proportional direction is the defining spatial logic of all-round design - the composition extends outward equally in all directions from a central radial point.”

An equally directed arrangement distributes its visual mass outward in all directions from a central origin - the classic all-round or 360-degree design. This configuration is characteristic of table centrepieces, pedestal arrangements, and traditional work designed to be viewed from any angle. It is closely associated with symmetrical order and the radial line system, and with decorative design where even distribution of materials is the governing principle.
