Radial Floral Line System
The floral line system in which all material lines emerge from or converge toward a single central point - the governing logic of traditional symmetrical design.
“The radial line system is the default of traditional design - departure from it is one of the defining characteristics of modern and formal-linear work.”
In the radial floral line system, all stems appear to emerge from or converge toward a single origin point. This is the structural foundation of traditional symmetrical design and the most common line system in commercial floristry. Modern arrangement deliberately departs from this logic. The radial classification in Lersch's taxonomy corresponds directly to the Radial System concept under the Line element - both describe the same governing logic, one as a classification axis, the other as an element-level concept.
