How often when you're "stuck" designing do you find yourself reaching for more material to make the design work? Solutions to design problems can seem elusive - and adding more is often not the answer.

I invite you to join me this June for a program where we tackle four unique design challenges using only two botanical materials. Does this sound crazy? Impossible?

Our April Design of the Month comes from the hands of David Berger, and was a submission in Flower Thinking’s Design Solutions program. The task required the crafting of a wreath keeping the botanical content, as much as possible, to just two varieties. In this case, David fashioned Snake Beans (Vigna unguiculata) and Anthuriums into a striking contemporary composition, staged on a container, using the Beans in both their fresh and dried states.
